Chocolate Sponge Cake

  • 5 eggs

  • 1.5 cups sugar

  • half a cup of hot water

  • 2.5 cups flour

  • 1 pack of vanilla

  • 1 pack of baking soda

  • 4 cups milk

  • 2 tablespoons starch

  • 3 tablespoons flour

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 80 grams of dark chocolate

  • 1 pack of whipped cream

  • 1 cup cold milk



We beat the eggs with the help of a mixer until they foam with 1.5 cups of sugar, then continue to beat again, adding half a cup of hot water.


We add 2.5 cups of flour, baking soda and vanilla and mix with the help of a spatula.


After emptying into a clamped mold, we cook our sponge cake in a preheated oven at 175 degrees for 35 minutes.


For the cream, we take the milk, flour, starch and sugar in a saucepan and cook it, stirring. Before removing the cream from the heat, we add the chocolate, turn off our stove and leave to cool.


Once the cream has cooled, we beat the whipped cream together with the milk and add it to the cream, then whisk for a few minutes with the help of a mixer.


Once the sponge cake is cooked, we cut it in half, put half the cream between it, rub it evenly all over it and cover the other part on top.


With the remaining cream, we rub it outside our sponge cake and decorate it as we wish.
