Cold Baklava from Puff Pastry Dough
How to make cold baklava? Here is a step-by-step cold baklava recipe
Ingredients
4 sheets of puff pastry, 1 tablespoon of starch, 150 g butter
For between; 1 cup chopped walnuts
For sherbet; 2 glasses of milk, 1 glass of sugar
For the above; 2 tablespoons of cocoa, nesquik is more preferred, but I used cocoa.
Instructions
We start our dessert first with sherbet. Take the milk and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Then we let it cool.
Then we melt our butter in our sauce pan. While melting, we get the foam. We open our softened puff pastry dough in the size of our mold with the help of starch.
We put 2 puff pastry side by side and apply oil on it and add our walnuts. Then we open our puff pastry again and put it on the walnuts. We slice it the way we want. We apply our oil again on our sliced baklava.
We bake in a preheated 190 degree oven. Baking time will vary according to your oven. But it is important to keep the puff pastry in the oven for a long time. The longer it stays on unless it burns, the more it unfolds.
We take our fried baklava from the oven. We are waiting for the heat to come out. It will be enough to wait for about 10 minutes. Then we pour our cold sherbet over our baklava. We let it rest for 1 hour to absorb the syrup.
After it rests, we sprinkle cocoa with the help of a strainer. After resting in the refrigerator, our baklava is ready to eat ????

Recipe Tip and Cooking Suggestion:
You should open your puff pastry with starch. You can even choose nesquik instead of cocoa. It tastes so good that way. You should cook your puff pastries as long as you can without burning them. Do not forget that the longer the puff pastry is in the oven, the more layers it will open ???? The syrup of our first hot dessert should be poured cold.
