Kosovo Style Rice Pudding
3 liters of village milk
3 cups Rice (I used cracked rice)
2 cups of Powdered Sugar
For the topping: cinnamon powder
First, we boil the milk. We add the pre-washed and drained rice to the boiling milk.
We mix it from time to time so that it does not stick to the bottom and cook the rice with the dut on low heat. By releasing its own starch in the rice, it will both thicken the rice pudding and give it flavor.
When we notice that the rice is cooked, we can add sugar. And let it cook a little longer. Both the sugar will melt and our rice pudding will have a nice consistency.
We adjust the consistency according to our own taste, anticipating that it will thicken and crust over after it cools.
We divide our cooked rice pudding into bowls and leave it to cool. I recommend it to be consumed by sprinkling powdered cinnamon on it. Enjoy your meal.
